Ascorbic Acid and Calcium Silicate Improve MorphoPhysiological Characteristics of Cadmium Stressed Mung Bean Crop

چکیده

A rise in heavy metal contamination especially the rhizosphere affecting growth and yield of crops is a major concern. We aimed to study influence using calcium silicate (CS) ascorbic acid (AsA) supplements on lowering impact cadmium-induced toxicityin mung bean. Both alone or combination improved characteristics cadmium (Cd) stressed bean plants like root-shoot length fresh-dry weight. Leaf pigments chlorophyll carotenoids were also restored. significant improvement relative leaf water content (RLWC) low electrolyte leakage (EL) at membrane was recorded. Results more promising when combinations CS AsA treatments used against lower concentration cadmium. Hence, both interact synergistically alleviate Cd induced toxicity plants.

Characteristics and subcellular localization of phospholipase d and phosphatidic Acid phosphatase in mung bean cotyledons.

Mixed micelles of (32)P-labeled phosphatidylcholine or phosphatidic acid (PA) and the nonionic detergent octylphenol polyethylene oxide (NP-40 Nonidet) were used to assay the activities of phospholipase D and PA phosphatase in crude extracts of mung bean (Vigna radiata) cotyledons. Together these enzymes degrade phosphatidylcholine to free choline, inorganic phosphate, and sn-1,2-diacylglycerol...

Phosphorous and Mung Bean Residue Incorporation Improve Soil Fertility and Crop Productivity in Sorghum and Mungbean-Lentil Cropping System

In sorghum and mungbean – lentil cropping system, field experiments were conducted for three successive years to assess the effect of mung bean residue incorporation on sorghum and succeeding lentil productivity along with different doses of phosphorus (P; 0, 30, 60 kg ha−1) applied to these crops. The level of soil fertility was also tested with or without incorporation of mung bean residue. T...

Response surface optimization of acid modification on mung bean starch

This research shows the dependence of number average degree of polymerization (DPn) of mung bean starch (MBS) on starch slurry concentration, acid/starch slurry ratio, time and temperature in acid modification process. Optimizing these factors to earn as low as possible DPn was evaluated by using the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with reduced Central Composite Face-Centered (reduced CCF) m...

Ascorbic Acid and Ascorbic Acid Oxidizing Enzymes of Green Bean Plants Deficient in Manganese.

Recently in this laboratory (1) soybeans grown on manganese-deficient field plots were analyzed for ascorbic acid and ascorbic acid-oxidizing enzymes. Contrary to some reports in the literature, no consistent relationship was found between manganese deficiency symptoms and ascorbic acid or the enzymes which oxidize it. The present study was performed with solution cultures to provide a more rig...

Mung Bean (Vigna radiata) Seedlings'

Two forms of Fd-NADP+ oxidoreductase (FNR) isoproteins have been purified and characterized from the first foliage leaves of 5d-old mung bean (Vigna radiata). They could be separated by either Mono Q HR 515 or ferredoxin (Fd)-Sepharose 48 affinity columns. Based on immunoblot analysis and N-terminal amino acid sequences, one form resembles the FNR purified from photosynthetic tissues of higher ...
